A more recent classic, Lord of the Flies was published in 1954 by William Golding. This novel of island survival, child's play was given its statues for William's use of good writing to develop the plot/ story and characters. It is my intention, through this blog to read and comment on the quick to classic Lord of the Flies to show a necessary understanding of writing skills through long fiction. Warning, I will not be providing plot summaries, but be using citations to get ideas and points across about the writing/ wording of the novel. So if you stumbled across this site while trying to find plot summaries for Lord of the Flies this unfortunately is not the site for you, but if you want to read and/ or understand the writing of Lord of the Flies without further haste off we go!
